Create your own Narnia-inspired scene with just a shoebox and a few simple craft supplies! This fun project is inspired by The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis and invites young artists to imagine the moment Lucy first steps through the wardrobe into the snowy forest of Narnia.

Supplies Needed:

  • An empty shoebox

  • Construction paper in brown, green, and white

  • White paint

  • Brown pipe cleaners

  • Greenery (moss, tiny trees, etc)

  • Additional items as desired

Instructions:

  • Using the short end of the shoe box, cut a door-sized hole in the middle.

  • Draw a wardrobe onto brown construction paper to paste over the door.

  • You can make the wardrobe door “open” by folding the hinges and cutting the paper door in half.

  • Finish up by creating the snow-covered forest of Narnia.

  • Don’t forget to add the light post!
