FAQs
-
Events may be cancelled at any time; however, all payments made to the Museum prior to cancellation are non-refundable. Because we reserve your date and space specifically for you, we’re unable to refund deposits or payments once they’re made. We encourage clients to notify us as soon as possible if plans change so we can assist with next steps.
-
You’re welcome to choose your own vendors for catering, décor, and other services so your event reflects your personal style. To ensure everything runs smoothly and meets Museum standards, all vendors must be approved in advance by the Ellen Noël Art Museum. We’re happy to provide guidance or recommendations if you need help finding trusted local vendors.
-
Photography in the galleries is permitted only if your rental package includes gallery access. Some artworks may be restricted due to copyright or lender agreements, so please check with Museum staff before your event. Flash photography and tripods are not allowed at any time, as they can damage sensitive artworks.
We also offer photography permits as a Premium Upgrade for guests who wish to use the Museum and its grounds as a backdrop for engagement, graduation, or family photos. Please contact Museum staff in advance to schedule and secure your preferred date and time.
-
The Museum does not currently offer dressing rooms or bridal suites. All dressing, hair, and makeup preparations should be completed before arriving.
-
All event packages include indoor access as part of your rental. If your event includes the garden and weather conditions become unfavorable, we’ll seamlessly relocate your setup indoors so your celebration can continue comfortably without interruption.
-
Vendors may access the Museum only during the times listed in your rental contract. Setup and breakdown times are included in your total rental period, so please ensure your vendors are aware of these limitations when planning. If you anticipate needing additional time for setup or teardown, extra access hours can be purchased as a Premium Upgrade to ensure your vendors have the flexibility they need. This helps us coordinate schedules smoothly and maintain a positive experience for everyone involved.
-
Event security is responsible for the overall safety of guests, staff, and property during your event and is required for all Classic, Deluxe, and Premier packages. Gallery attendants specifically monitor the exhibition spaces to ensure artwork and installations are protected, and are only required if your rental package includes gallery access. Both work together to provide a safe, welcoming environment while preserving the Museum’s collections.
-
Yes! Our Connoisseur members receive special discounts on base package pricing, along with other exclusive benefits throughout the year. We also offer discounted rates for qualifying nonprofit organizations with a valid 501(c)(3) designation. Ask us how to take advantage of these opportunities when booking your event.
-
To reserve your event date, a $500 security deposit is required at the time of signing. A mid-term payment of 50% of your total balance is due 90 days before the event, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior. This structure ensures your date and details are secured well in advance for a stress-free planning process.
-
For the protection of our facility and collections, furniture and artwork within the Museum may not be moved, touched, or altered in any way. Nothing may be taped, nailed, stapled, glued, or otherwise attached to walls, ceilings, furniture, or fixtures. Museum staff will assist with approved layout adjustments to ensure your event setup meets both your needs and preservation standards.
