Exhibition Opening: Halston: Inventing American Fashion

COMING SOON to the Ellen Noël Art Museum, Halston: Inventing American Fashion opens on December 6th, 2025, as part of our Grand Opening! Presented by Sewell Family of Companies, this exhibition, co-curated by Halston’s niece and biographer, Lesley Frowick, offers an intimate look at the designer’s life and legacy. Visitors can explore rare garments, photographs, and archival materials tracing Halston’s rise to prominence in the 1970s, from Jackie Kennedy’s iconic pillbox hat to flowing gowns worn by Liza Minnelli and Bianca Jagger. The exhibition also highlights Halston’s innovative approach to celebrity, branding, and modern fashion that continues to influence the industry today. Halston: Inventing American Fashion will be on view through March 22, 2026. Museum hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM–5 PM; Thursday with extended hours until 8 PM; Sunday, 12–5 PM; closed on Monday. Admission is always free—come explore Halston’s timeless designs in our newly reimagined galleries!
