Steve Teeters
Steve Teeters (American 1955-2014) was a sculptor based in Lubbock, Texas, known for large-scale metal works and public art installations. He earned a BS in Art Education from Texas Tech University and later worked as a public school art teacher for over 20 years before transitioning to full-time studio practice. Teeters worked primarily in welded steel, found materials, and mixed media, producing sculptural forms and installations often designed for public spaces and civic environments. He was active in regional arts initiatives in West Texas and contributed to community-based public art projects.
