Camille Engel (American 1955) is a self-taught realist painter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Best known for her highly detailed bird paintings incorporating trompe-l'œil effects, her work also includes still lifes, landscapes, and figurative subjects. Before becoming a full-time painter in 2003, Engel worked as a graphic designer, creating album covers for musicians including George Strait, Reba McEntire, and Randy Travis.
