Billy Hassell (American 1956) is a Texas-based artist known for paintings, lithographs, and watercolors focused on nature, conservation, and the environment. Raised in Dallas, he developed an early interest in wildlife and natural habitats, which became the foundation of his artistic practice. He studied at the University of Notre Dame and later received an MFA from the University of Massachusetts. Hassell continues to live and work in Fort Worth, Texas, where he maintains a studio practice centered on observing and interpreting the natural world.
