Lynwood Kreneck
Lynwood Kreneck (American 1936–2025) was a printmaker, educator, and professor whose career was closely associated with Texas Tech University, where he taught printmaking for four decades before retiring as Professor Emeritus in 2005. Born near Kenedy, Texas, he earned both his BFA and MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1969, Kreneck founded the international exhibition ColorPrint USA, helping introduce contemporary printmakers to wider audiences. Known for his innovations in water-based screen-printing techniques, he authored influential publications on printmaking and received numerous honors throughout his career.
