Tracy Krumm

Tracy Krumm (American 1963) is known for artworks that combine crochet, metalwork, and suspended forms. Her sculptures explore ideas of balance, weight, and structure through carefully crafted handmade processes and the use of tension and gravity. Blending elements of sculpture and fiber art, Krumm often juxtaposes the domestic with the industrial, combining metal and other structural elements. She earned a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1987 and an MFA from Vermont College in 1995, and has taught and lectured at numerous art institutions across the United States.
