Craig Kosak
Craig Kosak (American 1957) is a painter whose work explores landscape, wildlife, and emotional experience through representational imagery informed by the American West and the Pacific Northwest. Raised near Seattle, he studied at the ArtCenter College of Design and worked for three decades as a graphic designer, including serving as Microsoft’s first web designer in 1995. After transitioning to full-time painting in 2004, his work evolved from Western landscapes inspired by National Park travels to more introspective paintings centered on the forests, wildlife, and coastal environment of Whidbey Island, Washington, where he lives and works.
