Zarko Stefancic
Zarko Stefancic (Serbian/American 1950) is a painter born in Belgrade, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia). He graduated from the Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts in 1976 and has lived and worked in New York City since 1980. He is best known for his meticulous trompe-l'œil paintings. His work often reflects a fascination with memory and place, incorporating personal ephemera and everyday objects into highly detailed compositions that blur the boundary between painting and reality.
