Jo Saylors
Known for creating realistic, life-like sculptures of children and animals, Jo Saylors (American 1932-2018) was born in Tennessee and began sculpting as a child using clay from local creek beds, winning her first art competition at age twelve. Over her career, she studied human and animal anatomy to achieve realism. Her works depict children, wildlife, and historical figures and have been exhibited across the United States and are held in collections in thirteen other countries.
