Stan Lynde
Stan Lynde (American 1931–2013) was a cartoonist, illustrator, and writer best known for creating the nationally syndicated comic strip Rick O'Shay (1958-1981). Set in the American West, the strip combined humor, adventure, and thoughtful social commentary, helping establish Lynde as an important voice in Western comics and illustration. In addition to cartooning, Lynde produced paintings, books, and illustrations inspired by cowboy culture, ranch life, and the landscapes of Montana and the Southwest.
