Doylene Land
Doylene Land (American 1955) is a art educator, curator, and museum professional from Midland, Texas. She earned a BFA in Art Education and an MFA in Education from Texas Tech University, focusing on teaching art to blind and visually impaired students. She has developed tactile, 3D-based curriculum and taught across the United States. Her oil paintings reflect the West Texas landscape, where horizon lines, vast skies, and shifting cloudscapes are combined with everyday objects. She describes her process as meditative, using repetition and pattern to build visual narratives drawn from personal experience.
