Emilio Greco
Emilio Greco (Italian 1913–1995) was a sculptor, draftsman, and printmaker celebrated for his refined figurative works and sensitive treatment of the human form. Born in Catania, Sicily, Greco gained international recognition in the postwar period for bronze sculptures, monumental commissions, and lyrical drawings that balanced classical traditions with modern expression. He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and represented Italy at numerous international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale.
