Thomas Allom
Thomas Allom (British 1804–1872) was an English architect, artist, and topographical illustrator. He was a founding member of what became the Royal Institute of British Architects and worked on major architectural projects in London, including collaborations on the Houses of Parliament. He is best known for his detailed travel illustrations of the UK, the Middle East, and Asia, published in widely circulated 19th-century illustrated books on topography and travel.
