Daiken Asakawa
Daiken Asakawa (Japanese/American 1974) studied art at the University of Texas Permian Basin and earned his MFA from Washington State University in 2006. He teaches at Odessa College and makes ceramics inspired by everyday conversations and spontaneous moments. His works reflects his move from functional pottery to narrative themes, incorporating storytelling elements that invite viewers to connect with both the work and the artist’s creative process.
