B. Shawn Cox (American 1967) is a Texas-based artist with ranching roots in Monahans and now lives and works in Austin. Trained in architecture and law, he has maintained an evolving art practice for over 30 years. His work explores visual storytelling through constructed imagery and graphic reinterpretations of Western iconography, particularly in his polka.dot.rodeo series, which examines cultural mythologies through playful, layered compositions.
