The Circle and the Line: Recent Works by Brian Wall · Exhibition Opens

Spanning more than six decades, the work of Brian Wall reflects a sustained exploration of form, balance, and material. Born in London in 1931, Wall began his artistic path after serving in the Royal Air Force, later immersing himself in the vibrant artistic community of St Ives, where he worked alongside leading modernists such as Barbara Hepworth.

Known for his welded steel constructions, Wall developed a distinctive visual language rooted in geometry, balance, and spatial tension. After relocating to the United States in the early 1970s, he became a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, influencing generations of artists.

This exhibition will highlight key aspects of his practice, offering audiences a thoughtful introduction to an artist whose work bridges precision, movement, and poetic form. Free Admission Always.
