Melissa Zink
Melissa Zink (American 1932–2009) was a sculptor and mixed-media artist based in Taos, New Mexico, known for narrative, dreamlike works that combine ceramics, bronze, collage, and assemblage. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she studied at institutions including Swarthmore College, the University of Chicago, and the Kansas City Art Institute. Zink became recognized for her “three-dimensional stories,” creating imaginative interior scenes and sculptural environments inspired by literature, memory, and fantasy.
