Pat Musick (American 1926) received both an MA and a PhD from Cornell University. A sculptor working at large scale, she has focused much of her practice on integrating art with landscape and public space. In 2000, she and her husband, former astronaut Jerry Carr, established the Ozarks Woodland Sculpture Garden in Madison County, Arkansas, creating a site dedicated to exhibiting sculpture in a natural meadow environment. Her work often engages themes of environment, scale, and human relationship to natural landforms, as seen in her installation Great Circle Stanzas, the first work placed in the garden.
