David Keens
David Keens (American 1949) is a glass artist and educator who established and headed the Glass Program at the University of Texas at Arlington before retiring in 2013. Keens has received numerous honors, including a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Craftsman Fellowship and recognition from the University of Texas at Arlington for distinguished creative achievement. In 2007, he was designated Texas State Artist by the Texas Commission on the Arts and the Texas State Legislature, reflecting his significant contribution to contemporary American glass art and public art installations.
