Norman Daly

Norman Daly (American 1911-2008) was born in Pittsburgh and studied art at the University of Colorado, Paris, and Ohio State University, and taught at Cornell University from 1942 to 1999. Beginning as a painter, he later turned to sculpture and assemblage. His most notable project, Llhuros, was an invented ancient civilization blending conceptual and traditional aesthetics, widely exhibited in the 1970s and recognized as “archeological art.”
