Eduardo Oliveira Cezar
Eduardo Oliveira Cezar (Argentina/French 1942–2006) was born in Buenos Aires and later lived and worked in France. He exhibited internationally in cities including Paris, New York, and Washington, as well as throughout Latin America. Early in his career, he focused on geometric art before moving toward abstraction. His work often explores light, space, and structure, creating quiet architectural scenes such as interiors, staircases, and walls that feel both familiar and empty of people. Working largely in subtle tones of gray, black, and white, Cezar used light to shape mood and atmosphere, giving his paintings a calm, reflective, and timeless quality.
