Anne-Marie Cucchiara
Although there is limited information available about Cucchiara, this work reflects how artists in the 1970s were often exploring experimental, process-based abstraction. Women still faced significant barriers compared to their male peers in terms of visibility and documentation, and many remain under-identified in the historical record. Collectors such as Edward R. Broida played an important role in supporting contemporary and postwar art of the period, often acquiring works focused on material exploration, even when the artists were not widely exhibited.
