Music Night

Join us for a free musical performance by song writer/guitarist Charles Silvermand. Known for his new acoustic, contemporary folk style, Silverman creates original tunes and cover songs. Refreshments provided.

Teen Ceramics

July 8 - 12 • 9:15am-Noon • $110 • Ages 13-17

Hand-build and throw on the wheels as you make a variety of cool things from clay.

Ceramic work will be fired in the museum kiln and picked up at a later date.

Join us Thursday, July 11th for our Summer Film Series! We will have a free screening of Museum Hours (2012) When a Vienna museum guard befriends an enigmatic visitor, the grand Kunsthistorisches Museum becomes a crossroads that sparks explorations of their lives, the city, and the ways art reflect and shape the world. Museum Hours is a 2012 Austrian-American dramatic feature film written and directed by Jem Cohen at the Museum starting at 6:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Join us Thursday, August 8th for our Summer Film Series! We will have a free screening of Cairo Station (1958) is an Egyptian dramatic film directed by Youssef Chahine. Farid Shawqi plays a news stand owner who takes pity on a young, lame man, Qinawi (Youssef Chahine), who develops an obsession for Hannuma (Hind Rostom), a beautiful cold drink vendor. The film was the Egyptian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 31st Academy Awards, at the Museum starting at 6:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

All are welcome to the opening reception of Sight and Feeling Photographs by Ansel Adams, on loan from Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. This exhibition showcases the works of one of America’s greatest landscape photographers and environmentalist known for his black and white image of the American West.
